Scuba Diving Adventures
Scuba diving in the Aran Islands is an experience you won’t forget. There are so many different dive sites around the islands, from the wormhole, to the wreck of the Village Queen, and everything in between, there’s something for everyone. The best time to go diving is in the summer when the water is warmest, but diving is possible year-round. You need to have a PADI certification to dive around the Aran Islands and there is a Dive Academy onsite if you need to get certified. The Discover Scuba Diving program is designed for those that have no experience with scuba diving but want to know what it’s like to breathe underwater and explore the clear waters of the Aran Islands. In this program, you’ll learn the basics of how to snorkel and scuba dive under the direct supervision of PADI Professionals. PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program could be your first step to getting PADI certified.

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle. PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases: Knowledge Development eLearning – study online to understand basic principles of scuba diving, Confined Water to learn basic scuba skills, and Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore.

The Aran Islands has amassed a reputation for being one of the best places to dive in Europe with its crystal clear water and vibrant underwater life.
Dive Academy offers guided boat dives, Family Diving, Wormhole Diving, Far West Diving or even night dives to the best dive sites in the Atlantic Ocean around the Aran Islands. Your guide will tailor a guided dive plan for you to go scuba diving. The boat departs from the ferry terminal beside the dive centre, and heads out for one dive at a time (except Far West Diving).
Generally, Dive Academy ask that the divers have at least an Open Water Diver qualification for the Daily Dive Trips.
The Worm Hole or “Poll na bpeist” has become a very popular attraction on Inishmore since the Red Bull Cliff Diving was held there in 2015 and 2017. The Worm Hole is a naturally formed rectangular shaped pool located on the South side of the island. Dive Academy offer diving trips where you can Scuba dive into the wormhole.

Advanced Open Water Diver
By earning the PADI Advanced certification your new maximum depth will be 30m. This increased depth rating allows us to take you to some of the best dive sites
You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving. The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills in deeper waters. This is a great way to log more dives while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
Rent a kayak and explore the Inishmore coastline at your own pace. No prior kayak experience is needed.
Our friendly staff introduce you to basic paddling techniques and set you up with the necessary kayak skills as well as provide you with all the equipment you need for safe kayaking. We show you a map of our area of operation, and when you are ready, off you go on your kayak adventure.

Snorkelling Boat Tour
Snorkelling requires no certification and is great for all ages, children, parents and even grandparents!
Taking the boat offshore allows you to experience the crystal clear water surrounding the island. If you’ve always wanted to discover underwater wonders snorkelling might be your next favourite hobby. Snorkelling is great for the whole family and a good place to start before learning to scuba dive.
