Getting to the Aran Islands is accessible by both passenger ferry and airplane. Passenger ferries to the Aran Islands depart from Rossaveel (all year around), Galway (seasonal) and Doolin (seasonal). The airplane service to the islands departs from Connemara Regional Airport operates on all year around subject to weather conditions.

Getting to Inishmore

Inishmore is the largest and most accessible island of the Aran Islands. The island is accessible by both passenger ferry and airplane. The passenger ferries depart from Galway City, Rossaveel and Doolin. The airplane to Inishmore departs from Connemara Regional Airport. You cannot take your car on the ferry to the Island.

Getting to Inishmaan Island (Inis Meain)

Ferries to Inishmaan are available from Rossaveal all year and from Doolin (Cliffs of Moher) between April and October. Inishmaan is also accessible by airplane from Connemara Regional Airport. You cannot take your car on the ferry to the Island.
