Met Éireann forecasts hottest day of the year.

Thursday June 23rd is set to see the highest temperatures so far this year according to Met Éireann. Parts of the country could reach up to 24C by Thursday afternoon. This is your chance to take a last minute getaway with friends or family, and enjoy what Ireland has to offer on what we hope to be the hottest day of the year. The Aran Islands in the sun is like nowhere on earth.

Getting Here

Getting Around

There is no better way to get around the Aran Islands on a beautiful sunny day than cycling. Aran Bike Hire are located at the top of the pier on Inis Mór. Book your bike Here.

Of course you may opt for Tour Buses, and Horse and traps which are located at the top of the pier where the ferry docks.

Kilronan, the main village on Inis Mór has numerous options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. The Spar Supermarket has everything you might need for a picnic, or BBQ on a beautiful Summers night. If cooking is not for you some of your options include, The Galley Chipper, Joe Wattys Bar, Madigans Bar, The Bar, Bayview restaurant. All located within walking distance of Kilronan.
